Amazon.com - $50 for any $250-up Electronics Purchase

I'm not sure if this is a "hot" deal or not, but it is one that I've been seriously considering for the last few days now. :) Amazon has the Plextor PX-708a burner for $258.99 and they have a promotion going on right now on electronics that gives you a $50 promotional certificate for any order over $250. Full details on the promotion can be found here:

I've been thinking of getting the Plextor and using the $50 to buy a good deal of media for my new drive. :) Any thoughts on this? Seems like a good deal to me. If you know of a better one, let me know, since I'm very close to purchasing a Plextor PX-708a burner. Thanks for the help and enjoy.

Sounds like a good deal to me, especially if you have $50 in stuff to buy at Amazon.

Well, it's pretty easy to purchase $50 worth of stuff at Amazon. :) I'm thinking of going for it, especially since I have a $20 gift certificate to use there as well. Couple that with their free Super Saver shipping and I have a pretty nice deal I think. :) Now if I could only find a way to keep my wife from noticing the $250 charge on the credit card. :)
