Newbie Dilemma Liteon 52327S or LG 8520B?

Burn baby burn!

Postby aznmidnite on Sun Oct 05, 2003 8:21 pm

Hi all,
Thanks again for all your input. I installed my LG 8525B 2 days ago, and am pleased with it so far. I haven't had much time to play with it, but so far so good.

The only problem so far is that it couldn't read data from Lead Out when I was doing Error testing with Nero CD Speed.

Also, it gave me an error when trying to burn @ 52X with Memorex 48X (CMC) media (I know, it's because they are only rated as 48X, but I believe the 8520 model could burn them successfully @ 52X). But it burned fine @ 48X.

Thanks!

I used to own LG, albeit the 16x10x40 one and I must say it served a good 2 years of solid burning, it faired up to pretty much all media and all burning modes, it was very good but in this day and age 16x write is far too slow so I stepped up to liteons 52/32/52 and I must say Im just as happy with it as I was with my LG. The price/quality/compatability is nigh on the same

I'm glad to hear that your LG drive is working well, Aznmidnite! :D

Mrk1283: It's also good to hear that your drives are working well. I like my Lite-On LTR-52327S drives, too. :D
