Hey guys, I just picked up one of these drives from my local parts store for only $49CDN ($30US) and I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about these drives. The firmware version is 1.00 and it was manufactured July 2003.
LG's doesn't have that drive listed on their web site yet. They only have the 52x24x52x. I emailed LG they said they were going to a 52x32x52x16x combo drive soon. Maybe be the end of this year or sometime next year.
Actually it is listed on the global website but I was hoping someone might have any insights into whether it can do correct efm encoding, burn quality, etc.
