Cd ripping and "empty" mp3

Postby kostin on Sun Nov 16, 2003 6:47 pm

I've tried a few cd ripping appz and when I play the mp3 all you hear is click-click-click. If I want to play that audio cd in the CDrom everything is ok. I use an old TEAC cd-540e on win XP with SP1.

Can anyone tell me what could be the problem?

what ripping program are you using?
recommended:
EAC www.exactaudiocopy.de
CDex www.cdex.n3.net

possible things to check:
update your IDE drivers.
check your ASPI layer (if you have one?).
make sure you have ASPI 4.60 (ForceASPI for installing/checking http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_s ... rcaspi.cfm )

One of my friends has this problem, I have to go to his house and verify the ASPY layer on his computer.
I'll post the result here.
thanks!

The ASPI layer was the problem. A few weeks ago I've installed ASPI 6.20 on his computer and now I've installed ASPI 7.21 on top of it and it worked.
thanks
