Nero 6 Burning stalls at 6%

Postby crsschk on Thu Nov 27, 2003 11:46 am

Arrrghh!

Why is Nero stalling at 6% when attempting to burn?
Using a LTR 48125W
DMA enabled.
Updated Firmware (didn't help)
This was happening before I upgrade from ver 5

I have been searching forums, help sections....Anybody?
Thanks

Welcome to CDRLabs! :D

What brand of media are you using, and what is the speed rating on it? At what speed are you trying to burn?

Nero 6 Burning stalls at 6%

Postby crsschk on Thu Nov 27, 2003 5:32 pm

Thanks.

I am using TDK 48x.
Have been using them without a problem for awhile now.

The last few I burned prior to this had been stalling periodically, sometimes 10%, or 13% and I found that if I opened up say IE it would 'goose' it out of it's slumber and continue to burn. (In the 5.5 ver)

Have tried various speeds lately, set at "determine max" but 48, 24 makes no difference. Just stripped everything Nero off (had a older version), reinstalled and tried again, no change.

Suspected that it could be the media....drivers? My CD writer? It is a CenDyne made LiteOn.....frustrated...

Well, the first thing I'd suggest is trying some other media. Fuji discs (if they're made in Japan) are probably the best. Maxell discs are also good.
