Geforce 4 MX 440 SE

well hi there hope everone's good there
so i finally collected some money to upgrade my video card (riva tnt)
came down for a XFX GEFORCE4 MX 440SE 128MB card all i wanna ask is is this card good enough to run latest games like MAtrix,Underground etc
hey i gotta pc with
P4 1.5 ghz
256 mb ram
hope the crd is suitable for this pc
please do reply abt the card though

Nope.

Save up more money and get something much, much faster.

At least a ATI 9700 Pro or whatever nVidia offered at that time.

I got a Geforce 4 mx 440 but i would also reccomend something much more also, you can a real good bargain at this time of the year.
I have a LG GCE-8520B 52/24/52
and Samsung CD-ROM SC-148T

A gf4mx is dx7.
You need a dx9 card from ATI like a Radeon 9600 Pro at least.
(The fx serie is slower in dx9 shaders)

I believe even my old ;) ti 4200 is faster then that card but it isn't dx9 either. The nvidia 5700 is sposed to be a good bang for buck also and I'm sure it's dx9.

Actually a Geforce 4 MX 440 is directX 8.1, and it is all not that bad as everyone think's it is.
its good for games that were made when in its time of release.
anyway i play vice city with a geforce mx 440 and its runs much better than a integrated video card. 8)
