Find your first post on CDRLabs and post a link to it here. It will be fun to go back and see what we were like then, and then compare it to what we are like now.

how do you find your oldest post?
i can't remember mine.

if you go to your profile and click on find all posts, well, once you get into the "old" posts (Jan 1, 1970) they're not sorted chronologically anymore!

I remembered what mine was about, so I knew what to look for on December 31st 1969. If you have no clue, then it will be impossible I would imagine. For the newer members it doesn't show December 31st 1969, so for them it's easy.

My first post was kind of lame....

In retrospect, I've only been here for about a year... a little less even! But it seems like much longer! :D

Oh, well, if no one knows what can you do? It wasn't a commonly-available board.

I never did upgrade the CPU in that board, either, but I have done a lot of upgrading since then (I currently have two Athlon-based systems and am going to build a 3rd shortly), so it really doesn't matter anymore. :)

Yes, but like aviationwiz I remembered what my first post was about. (I think. There is some small chance it was actually my second post, but I am pretty sure it was my first.)

This is interesting.

My first post: http://www.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=49595#49595. It was ignored. I forgot about it actually. The second post (and the first one I remembered) was in the Media Compatibility Thread: http://www.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=49963#49963 and I've been there ever since. 8)

Incidentally, the post numbers are a tip for sorting the old posts for those of you "oldies" bitten by the 1-Jan-1970 (really time_t=0) bug.

That's because you hit the ground running, answering rather than asking with your first post! :D And since your post didn't require a response, maybe it wasn't actually ignored but rather noted quietly. 8)

Anyway, had you made your first post today, CDRecorder would have been sure to greet you warmly. Hey, maybe TheWizard should add another class to his curriculum: Hospitality 101 - CDRecorder. :P

Guess who replied for my first post? Cfitz and Kennyshin, thanks guys.

It's really surprising to see what some of you guys have posted as the first :) :). Especially, Aviationwiz's is a shock! Talk about what a year can do!

Enjoy such liberty. - Richard Lovelace

I think I had to reboot to get rid of that when I was using IE, but the popup-blocker in AvantBrowser bocks it! :P
