How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to move it to the Lighting section
2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

:)

I've seen this before. it's cute :)

but you know what is ironic about this, is that i went to order a light bulb today for work and it was on back order. :-?

so i will have to let everyone know about it in a few days when they get some more :)

Tried it twice:

First time: Couldn't complete it by myself, only extra help needed was BuddhaTB.

Second time: BuddhaTB unavailable (posting at a shoe forum), needed Hoxlund, A..wiz, dode....n, Monte, UALKone+, CdRecorder, Spaz, F1Pilot, ............................. :P

LOL! Great one, CowboySlim! What we could do is claim to be a government group, and get funding for a $847 lightbulb. Can't forget that it'll cost $7421 in labor. Need to hire another group for $3824 so that we're sure that we're in commpliance with OSHA. Don't want anyone to get in trouble or have a name slip out...hire someone to check out HIPAA compliance for $291. So yeah, 1 person can change the bulb. :o

Or maybe, we can all stay in the dark and blame the government for it! :)
Stone walls do not a prison make,
Nor iron bars a cage;
Minds innocent and quiet take
That for an hermitage;
If I have freedom in my love,
And in my soul am free,
Angels alone that soar above
Enjoy such liberty. - Richard Lovelace

But remember, with the high net and low overhead, we'll have a good profit margin. 8X drives for everyone!

How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb? = The number of forum members it would take to explain why the chicken crossed the road!

F1, I hope I am included in the 8X drive distribution list? :)

Sure! Just so long as you don't go suggesting stuff like "Or maybe, we can all stay in the dark and blame the government for it! " again. We can make it work! 8x for all!

On a serious note, anyone got to play with an 8x at full speed? How long does it take to write a disc at "full capacity"?

What do you mean by "8x at full speed." It is not possible to write to a disk at 8x throughout the entire disk. I think the fastest we have seen is the 6-8x Z-CLV (?CLV?.) Found on the PX-708A. That being said, roughly 8 min. 10 sec. give or take a few seconds.

That's what I meant...8x real world. 8 minutes...nice! Time to check the price of blanks! Thanks, aviationwiz!
