Kodak media is no longer being manufacutered these days.
Gold Ultima media is really rare these days.
For Gold and Silver media you can contact Kodak themselves.

Check eBay, there is Kodak media for sale there all the time, although quantities are very limited.
No, I like women.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Verbatim DataLife Plus Gold series was an OEM of the Kodak Ultima Golds... in which case I have a supplier for some, at least for a short time. I have access for up to 100pcs, but at $2.30 CDN a piece! So I'm picking up 15pcs personally. I will report back what I find, although I won't be burning more then 1 or 2 to begin with, as this media is worth saving! :D

I will see.
It's quite possible that these are Kodak OEM disc's. Since verbatim orriginally was a KODAK companny. While MCC bought Verbatim up for there was cdrecording the relationship between MCC and Kodak was allways good. However I've never seen a verbatim KOdak disc.
I have seen Verbatim media made by mitsui !
And we all know that Mitsui made a lot of gold disc's for third parties.
So I'll be surprised.
by the way how does the package look black with gold verbatim brand name on it ?

I'll find out what the packaging looks like tomorrow when I pick up my discs :) The seller claims a Kodak ATIP, and since he didn't know what an ATIP was until he was asked to download CD Identifier and scan them, I tend to believe what he said.

I'll report more soon :D

Cool if there really Kodak and are of good quality the last reasonable disc's with Kodak atip I saw were fake and of horrible quality.
So people watch out if someone is selling gold unlabbeled media on spindles with kodak atip. Good change that there fake.

Okay, here they are. I haven't burned them yet though:

These are the Verbatim DataLife Plus Gold discs:
Drive Type = DVD DUAL
Disc Type = CDR
Material = Phthalocyanine
Lead In = 97:27:45
Lead Out = 74:05:01
Nominal Capacity = 650.83MB
Manufacturer Maybe = Eastman Kodak Company
SMART-BURN Speed Limit = 24X (Write)

They are completely unbranded, and the packaging has nothing but a white piece of paper in the front, in a white jewel case, shrinkwrapped. They come in a plain paper box with Verbatim re-order information on it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next...

Kodak CD-R Ultima 80 ("with real gold") and Info Guard Protection:

Drive Type = DVD DUAL
Disc Type = CDR
Material = Phthalocyanine
Lead In = 97:27:46
Lead Out = 79:59:74
Nominal Capacity = 702.83MB
Manufacturer Maybe = Eastman Kodak Company
SMART-BURN Speed Limit = 24X (Write)

They come packaged with official looking Kodak jewel cases.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AND.... I found these on the way home. Emtec / BASF 74min CD-Rs:

Drive Type = DVD DUAL
Disc Type = CDR
Material = Phthalocyanine
Lead In = 97:28:26
Lead Out = 74:30:00
Nominal Capacity = 654.49MB
Manufacturer Maybe = Multi Media Masters & Machinary SA
SMART-BURN Speed Limit = 40X (Write)

They say made in India on the back of the packaging.

There real check this site for more Verbatim media made by Kodak.
This media should have been on the market befor Verbatim switched to AZO. So a good change is that it's original speed certification is 1-4x.

Oh yeah, the discs are old, no doubt about it!

Here's some pics of the Verbatim DataLife Plus Jewel Case, and the box that they were shipped in:

My cat was kind enough to help model the CD-R for everyone :P

As you can see, there are re-order numbers and the like, although the name verbatim is never actually mentioned. I can provide the serial numbers on the discs if people want.... although both the Kodak and the Verbatim Gold's have a serial number on the outer rim of the disc, beyond the burnable surface, but it is so stretched and small that it is hard to make out.
