Private message help

To all,

I tried to send a private message to Ian and it seems to stay in my outbox.

Is there anything I need to do to push it?

Or is it just waiting for him to read it?

This is common in phpBB forums, I don't know why this is caused, but using a PM in phpBB forums is very slow.

He got the message, but just like many Email programs, sent messages are copied to the Sent or Outbox folder. You can erase the message from your outbox, if you wish.

I don't think so, because if he would have gotten it, it would have moved to the Sent Items directory.

It seems to me that what happens is that the PM stays in the outbox until the recipient opens it.

If that is correct then Ian did, in fact, receive the message.

the sent PM stays in the Outbox until the recipient opens it, at which point it's moved from the Outbox to the Sentbox.

if the message stayed in his Outbox, this means the recipient did not read the message.
