Problem with DVD-RW ASUS and DVD ROM ASUS =(

Hi I'm having some problems with both of this drives: DVDRW ASUS and DVD ROM Asus, They were working perfect and suddenly now they don't. When I try to watch a DVD they seem to work fine but when they reach half of the movie or so they stop reading the dvd. The same if I try to go to a specific scene, it doesn't work in any of the drives with any dvd. I don't know why this may be happening. I tried to restore the system but it keeps happening. If someone can help me please, I don't know what else to do. I hope both of the drives haven't died at the same time. I bought this drives 6 months ago and I never had this problem before
I have a PIV with 1 Gb memory, Win XP with sp1.

Have you installed new CD/DVD burning software recently? Or anything related to your CD/DVD drives? (such as AnyDVD, CloneDVD, etc) Try uninstalling.

Check the cable and replace it.

Try either or both drives on another PC and see if they work.

Thanks for your answer. Now I've noticed that they work fine with original DVD's, not copies, and they work with DATA DVD's too. Perhaps the drivers are wrong or something. Thanks again.
