Problem with Visual C++ and NVE3

Postby Monte-Cristo on Wed Nov 17, 2004 9:53 pm

Hi,

I try converting and burning an .AVI file (XviD) into a DVD with NeroVision Express 3.

After about half an hour I get this error message:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Librairy

Runtime Error !

Program: C:\Program Files\Ahead\NeroVision\NeroVision.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

The only option is Ok. I do Ok. The error message disappears and NeroVision Express closes. [-X

Any idea anyone ? I tried many times. Always the same trouble. I didn't have this error with the older version.

Thanks [-o<

Is the Nero Vision the latest build? Also did you try contacting Ahead support?

Do you only run into this issue with that one AVI File? Do you have any trouble with other AVI files, or MPEG files used as sources?

Is it only AVI files?

Do you have any MPEG or VOB files to use as the source for testing?

How are the AVI files generated?

What codec's do you have on your system?

Hi,

I've been burning .AVI files for many months without any problems until I upgraded to NeroVision Express 3.

The .AVI files are downloaded from the Internet.

So, last night, I uninstalled NeroVision 3. I installed NeroVision 2, which I found on the Web site of Nero. And I burned a perfect DVD witout incident !

I believe there must be a problem, a bug, with NeroVision Express 3.

Are there others who have installed NVE3 and find they can no longer work with AVI files? But all VOB and MPEG-1 and 2 files work OK?

Hi

Yes, I have the same problem. When I try to convert an AVI to MPEG-2 in NVE3, the programs crashes with exactly the same Visual C++ message. Besides that, when I try to make some edition on an AVI captured file (by NVE3) the screen freezes; it only plays right the AVI if you don't touch any button, but right after you try to do something, the image freezes.

Regards,

Carlos
