Problems with LG 8520b v1.4 ...

Postby BerkuL on Thu Sep 18, 2003 9:08 am

Hi .. I'm new here ...
I need some help...
I have the LG GCE-8520b updated with firmware v1.4 the new one ...

Here's the thing ...
I have an old 2x princo cd-rw, and when I try to erase it or record it, it fails ...
I already tried nero, clonecd, blindwrite and other softwares ... But without success ...
In nero I receive the message "Power Calibration Error"..

I know that my CD-Recorder just record CD-RW in 4x or more ...
But I have another drive, a LG Combo, that I recorded the Princo CD-RW in 2x ... The interesting is that, I was looking at its features and I saw that the drive just record in 4x or more, like my LG 8520b ...

Is there any solution to solve my problem?!
I appreciate your help ....

Thx ...

Some newer drives just won't work with such old discs; I'd recommend that you copy your data off of the 2x disc and buy some newer CD-RW discs.

You're welcome; I'm sorry I don't have any better solutions.

In any case, having the newer discs will certainly increase the speed at which you can write! :D
