program for disk info

What program would be best to find out the full info including the speed of some unbranded disks that I have? I tried Nero but it tells me they are unknown

I am also looking for a site that tells you about the different dye types they use on disks , I tried Princo's website for info on the dyes they use but no luck
any help would be great
