RIDATA-Branded Medium Is One of First to Be Sold in US;
Available in Both Organic and Inorganic Dye Compositions

Diamond Bar, CA -- June 19,2006 -- Advanced Media, Inc., manufacturer and marketer of the popular RIDATA brand of recordable CD and DVD media, electronic storage products, and digital media accessories, is set to be one of the first optical disc manufacturers to introduce the new HD DVD-R medium in the United States. The disc supports up to 15GB of capacity on a single-layer. Availability is scheduled for late July, concurrent with the introduction of many hardware products designed to support the new format.

"High-definition displays continue to gain consumer acceptance," stated Harvey Liu, Advanced Media president. "That, along with high-speed broadband Internet interactivity becoming more and more a part of our daily lives, led us to develop the RIDATA HD DVD-R optical disc. This new high-capacity disc allows users to record and enjoy the phenomenal picture resolution of high-definition TV programs as well as satisfy computer users' demands for huge gigabyte storage. Advanced Media is proud to be one of the first companies to offer it in the US"

Taking advantage of its highly developed manufacturing process know-how, Advanced Media was able to develop both an organic dye and inorganic dye type of HD DVD-R. Using a special Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) process, Advanced Media can quickly respond to customers' demands in the shortest time possible. The company leverages this competitive advantage to provide the newest products at affordable pricing and to continue its leadership position in the optical media industry.

The RIDATA HD DVD-R medium supports Advanced Access Content System (AACS) state-of-the-art AES cryptography. It was developed to overcome the shortcomings of the Content Scrambling System (CSS) found in DVD video. AACS enables authorized use, prohibits unauthorized copying and distribution, and repairs holes in copy protection.

Compared to current DVD technology, HD DVD offers state-of-the-art picture quality as well as superior features and functionality. Multiple audio and video streams, up to 7.1 channel surround sound, and more user-friendly graphical interfaces are just a few of these advancements.

In addition to the 15GB, single-layer HD DVD-R product, Advanced Media will introduce RIDATA-brand 30GB dual-layer HD DVD-R and 15GB single-layer HD DVD-RW by 4th quarter 2006.

The RIDATA HD DVD-R optical disc is packaged in a single jewel case, and will be available through selected retailers, RIDATA distributors, and at various online outlets. As with all RIDATA products, it is competitively priced.

This is probably the first time we have the media before we get the burners...
I'll wait till a combo unit for reasonable price comes out.
