Sony DRU-510A ???

Does anybody have a date for when this drive will be released...?
And if anybody knows if it is/will be possible to update the firmware for the DRU-500AX to support 4x +RW recording.

Just wanted to know whether to buy the 500AX now and update the firmware, or wait for the 510A

According to Sony there are too many differences between the drives so that an upgrade from a 500A/AX to a 510A will NOT be possible.

Of course, that could just be all marketing BS so you go and buy a new drive, but I want to believe them. Sony has always been pretty straight with me on these sorts of things.
