taking clips from DVD's to make a compilation

Postby ramlin on Tue Nov 11, 2008 8:09 am

Hi, I'm supposed to give a lecture to my son's seventh grade class on the Beatles (each parent is supposed to give a lecture to the class on a subject they know something about - most are giving academic lectures, I chose something a little bit more interesting....). I have loads of Beatle related DVD's - but what I want to do is to take certain short clips from some of my DVD's (e.g the video of "Hey Jude", "All you need is love" and so on) and show them to the children at the appropriate time during the lecture.

I have a simple question - how do I compile a collection of clips from a DVD onto another DVD ? I assume I must first copy the relevant DVD onto my computer's hard drive - and I would do this using DVD decrypter - but what do I do after that?

Any thoughts - useful suggestions - are all welcome.

Thanks,

Try VSO ConvertXtoDVD... Think that will work for you.

He's probably going to want to edit the clips. I can't remember if ConvertXtoDVD lets you do that.
