I realize that this may already be a moot point but, I was at Staples a week ago and bought some more TEON 4X when it was on sale, hoping I'ld get lucky again and end up with Phillips 8X. After carefully studing the packages I noticed the injection mold holes on the bottom of the spindle are on the inside and outside on CMC based discs. The Philips based discs have the injection molds only on the outside ring. The Philips discs also have the recycyling symbol that line up with a serial code on the outside ring that reads C9-2. THe CMC based discs don't line up and the serial code on the outside ring reads C1-2. I've had pretty good luck with the philips 8X discs so far. I only mention these details because it might come in handy in the future, being as manufacturers keep switching there discs.
Perhaps CMC and Ricoh use different spindle molds and you would'nt have to make a second trip to return your CMCs.
