USA TDK 88N firmware coming out soon

Postby alaroia on Fri Jul 23, 2004 3:30 pm

Looks like TDK's website is going to be posting a US version of the new firmware for this drive...its about time! =D> They took v1.33a off, which means a new fw should be uploaded soon!

What's TDK basing there drives on now? I remember their old 4x DVD+R drive was an NEC (just like the Plextor PX-504A)...

If it's still NEC; Yippie! If not, well, Plextor would be nice. If not that, blah.
Soon to be proud user of Mandrake 10 (again!). SuSE 9 sucks!

Depends on the drive. The 840G is a Plextor PX-708A; the 880n is an ND-2500A; the AID+1280 is a Lite-On SOHW-1213S.
