New Medium Enterprises, Inc. (NME) (OTC Bulletin Board: NMEN - News), provider of the affordable, high-quality HD VMD (Versatile Multilayer Disc) format, announced today that leading US electronics distributor PC Rush has placed its order for 10,000 Multilayer Players. Starting from December, PC Rush will be selling NME's 1080p HD VMD Multilayer Players through their E-commerce site, and will distribute to retail outlets in the United States through associate company Distenex. Additionally, the order will complement HD VMD film content currently available in the US.

With relatively low interest in HD DVD and Blu-ray players, who is really going to be interested in HD VMD? Not many people at all...

And if no brick and mortar store is stocking movies, it will be an incredibly tough sell.
