What is "Exact Link"? I have a new drive that supports it in Nero, but I haven't a clue what it does.

It's a brand name,but they all prevent write errors and buffer underruns by slowing down the write speed(>16x) depending on media.

ExacLink is a buffer underrun prevention technology developed by Oak Technology. Burner manufacturers using the Oak controller featuring ExacLink include Yamaha, Mitsumi, and LG Electronics.
