Fair enough. For the record, I never thought you were posting in anything but the spirit of fun, and I got a good laugh out of all your posts and particularly enjoyed the fine literary references. :D

I love it!  I bow you to, oh mighty polyhedral one, and am rolling my socks for better packability as I write this...

MediumRare wrote:Unfortuantely, the participants didn't behave as they should  (which is often the case- unruly mob!)

My apologies! Although I kind of like the idea of being part of an unruly mob...

Thanks for the laughs!

And the solid separating the spheres of Earth and Mars is (gasp) the dodecahedron. So this is the age of the dodecahedron and everybody else can pack their bag and go home.

cfitz- I didn't see your post before preparing my previous contribution, just the remarks from aviationwiz, TheWizard and bhairavp. This is what I meant with "an unfortunate turn"- I don't want to give any incentive to a competition in total posts (call it "postitis"). It's a bit like the quantum mechanical problem of making a measurement: by making an observation, you alter the system.

On the other hand, I do enjoy making an occasional excursion through statistical flotsam decorated with irrelevant literary trimmings. And the further remarks weren't that discouraging, so I may come back to this subject in the future. Preparing these posts takes quite a bit of time, so it won't happen very often. I promise.

TheWizard wrote:Judging by the graph, I have one word: consistency. That's my motto!

:D :D Well, BhuddaTB has been a bit more "consistent" the last while- but you're the only one who's done better than the prediction from 22 March. 8)

:D I agree with cfitz. Inertia's postcount > hoxlund's postcount, so now it really IS official: Inertia knows more about CDR-RW stuff (and a lot of other stuff too, I'd imagine  ) than hox!
Just kidding hoxlund, we all love you anyway!

Nice graph aviationwiz.

I had noticed my post count lately after readng this thread or another one about post counts, but I didn't know I was in the top 10 till now.

It seems last place is practically a four way tie right now...

Next graph I'll cut off Ian so that the differences are easier to see because of the different scale.

Looks like my graph is holding true, CDRecorder passed VEFF, as was displayed well within the first half of the month, and he should have roughly the same amount of posts as me at the middle of the month.

I'm not trying to climb the charts, though. I guess that I just have a lot to say, and I certainly hope that its helpful!

No problem at all CDRecorder! :)
It is nice that you contribute so much to the forums.

I am actually apparently ahead again by a few posts, but I am sure
that won't last. :)

Keep up the good work!

Thanks, VEFF! I'm glad to be here! :)

BTW, I appreciate your contributions, too. :D

I agree that this is a great community; I haven't seen many forums like this one where so many people are so kind, helpful, and dedicated. :D

You are right about that.
I saw so much false, and often negative, information about the Plex 708A in one of the Hot Deals sites' forums.
People here, for the most part, talk about true experiences, and don't just believe what they hear.

e.g. One person posted that the Plex never burns faster than 6X.
Another said it only burns at 8X if you do a full disc, even though it reaches 8X relatively early in the burn.
They would be better served doing more research before posting incorrect information :)

Agreed.

I am used to the normal posters here, thier prefrences, and all that, and I know it is a good forum. Other places just don't have the friendliness and helpfulness that CDRLabs has.
