Can you spend a little more and get a (OEM) Lite On 48x24x48x? It's also sold as BusLink in stores.

In the USA, www.newegg.com has them for $60 with FREE shipping.

You can find them onsale occasionally @ BestBuy with a mail in rebate, usually in the $30 range after rebate(s).

I fully agree with Spaz, the 48x24x48 has faster RW speeds and can be flashed to a 52x24x52. You might even want to consider the 52x24x52 as even that is pretty cheap and is an amazing drive.

I am from Europe. There are no online web shops with free shipping. I get hardware from real shops. And there are three CD-RW's with same price. Shipping from US will cost 133 euro (140$).

So you can't find the LiteOn 48x24x48 around? That drive has been around for some time. If those 3 are the only choice then go for the LiteOn.

There is 52x24x52x from Lite-On.
I have never seen 48x24x48x in Finland.

Well if the 52x is available, I would go for that one. If it is too expensive, then just wait for a while and the prices would probably come down. In Ian's reviews the 48x12x48x got a 8/10 and the 52x24x52 got a 9/10.
But if you aren't going to be burning a lot of data at high speeds, then either one should be good. It really is a personal choice when you chose between these 2 models of LiteOn.

Thanks to this forum I have found and bought additional LTR-48246S. :D Some things there are questionable but I think that to understand it. In shop from that I bought this burnet it ever was not written in the price list. I tolked with seller and hi find it to me.

P.S. It was Retail version, but cost in the same place on 3 dollars lesser than LTR-48125S oem. I am so happy... :D
