What was that?

They're off to a good start this week. They didn't bother to edit much of this one.

Not quite plagiarism, but cdrinfo borrowed the picture with Steve Jobs from AV Watch.

So has anyone either contacted CDRInfo, or the people they're plagiarizing from?

I'm guessing CDRInfo probably couldn't give a care if contacted themselves, but I'd think that if the sites they infringed upon joined together, they could make life pretty difficult.

I don't know if websites could do anything. cdrinfo is located in greece and I dont' think websites in the US or Asia have much sway there. If they really wanted to hit em where it counts, they'd contact their advertisers.

After a few weeks of half hearted rewrites, they're back to straight up copying.

Would it even be okay if they just cited their sources?

Most reputable websites cite their sources and provide a link back to it. I've seen cdrinfo mention the source but they don't link back. They typically use most, if not all, of the original article anyway... which wouldn't really make a person want to click on a link if there is one.

These guys just don't get it.

They use the entire article and while they do quote the source, they don't provide a link back.

Yeah, that's pretty lame. Any visitor who doesn't know what Digitimes is has no idea where the source info comes from. Not to mention the fact that if you scrape an entire article, it is clearly copyright infringement...

They're definitely on a roll. Now they're copying entire articles from Canada.com.

And another...

They either don't give a shirt anymore (which is most likely the case) or they have someone new doing the news and he/she doesn't understand that you don't do this sort of thing.

Anyone else find it ironic that they have an article on their website called Electronic plagiarism at schools is a blight on our society?

DVD-Recordable.org is getting into it now too. They don't mention DigiTimes at all.

DVD-Recordable.org has always been shady as well. I've seen them plagiarize on numerous occasions.
