Yes, I'm also having problems writing to Verbatim 8x DVD+RW media. When I read the disc back, it fails right where the drive jumps up to 8x.

The LG 22x is better choice for 22x, I guess. But still room for improvement on some media

Here's the problem I'm having with Verbatim's 8x DVD+RW media. The drive writes to it fine at 8x.

However, when you read the disc back, it fails right where the writing speed jumps from 6x to 8x.

Interesting results with the Pioneer 116 - however, mine are quite a bit different so far.

Results so far have been as usual with Pioneer drives, in order words quite good. Only 16x DVD-R Verbatim had odd PIF spikes that shouldnt' be there, but I'll keep on smoking discs and piling up more results. Lets see how it goes.
