Writing 8x with 4x media

I want to know how I can write 8x to 4x media, using DVD-R RITEKG04 with LG GSA4082.

Also, I bought some 4x crap DVD-R's that will only burn at 2x with Alcohol 1.92 and Nero 6. I say crap because all the discs that I've burnt have errors. Any way to make it burn at 4x??

Unfortunately, you can't write to 4x media at 8x with the 4082B.

You could try upgrading the firmware to see if you can write to those 4x discs at its rated speed.
