I don't hold much of this "eye exercises against myopia" stuff. My sister-in-law came up with that one a few years ago, with the connotation that "having to wear glasses is a sign of deficiencies in character".
I'm sure they help to reduce stress though.
I've worn glasses as long as I can remember and, until I started to need bifocals 2 years ago, my prescription was constant for over 30 years. And I've worked with computers for most of that time (aside: trying to decipher punch cards is as hard on the eyes as this newfangled monitor stuff), so I can't say that that's impaired my vision. I am
considering a special set of glasses for computer work, though- mainly because the "near field" isn't always where I want it.
