Maybe its just a hack job on the editing because there is also this sentence on the 8x DVD-R page: "The extraordinarily versatile 4X DVD-R media can be used with the new higher-speed DVD writers from Sony, Pioneer and other leading manufacturers, as well as upgraded 2X writers from Apple, Pioneer and others."
(when compared to any other CONSUMER testing situation... not C't or something
