Hyundai DVD Media

Postby aviationwiz on Tue Aug 24, 2004 3:52 pm

Was just checking Meritline and saw this Hyundai DVD Media.

8x DVD+R:
http://www.meritline.com/hyundai-8x-12x ... media.html

4x DVD+R:
http://www.meritline.com/hyundai-dvd-pl ... media.html

8x DVD-R:

4x DVD-R:

Packaging is a complete rip off from Memorex's packaging, as you can see.

Anyone daring enough to order some and try it out?

What a coincedence... I'm getting some of that media too!

Of course I'll post some good info on them once my rather meticulous testing is completed

My results are never the fastest, but they are always the best! :D (when compared to any other CONSUMER testing situation... not C't or something  )

I was daring enough to test drive a Hyundai Santa Fe. Does that count for something? :)

(Although I am curious to learn more about the media as well. With their recent commitment to quality in the automotive space, I wonder if this is a company-wide initiative.)

Of course, what's interesting is on those pages, there is this text: "If you are not satisfied with any BeAll DVD blank media you bought from Meritline.com, simply return it in 60 days and you will get your money back!"

Why the reference to BeAll?

Update:
Maybe its just a hack job on the editing because there is also this sentence on the 8x DVD-R page: "The extraordinarily versatile 4X DVD-R media can be used with the new higher-speed DVD writers from Sony, Pioneer and other leading manufacturers, as well as upgraded 2X writers from Apple, Pioneer and others."

Yeah, especially in this case when you have to wait for me to ship them to you,

I also saw that reference.
I just passed it off as the usual meritline incompetance...

You gotta give them credit, they never stop trying to raise the bar just a little higher
