Yeah, but now you removed the time for CD-RW.

Sorry, I was confused by your double negative; I've edited the post again.

Don't worry about it. I confuse myself sometimes. :D

How about LTR-52327S on Verbatim 24x, or Plextor Premium on Verbatim 32x?

I guess rdgrimes will run LTR-52327S on Verbatim 24x soon, but apparently Plextor Premium owners don't have Verbatim 32x yet.

Show me where to get some of thier 32x RW's and if they are cheap enough, I might give them a try.

you can't "get" 32x CD-RWs unless you have friends at Mitsubishi. Hrm, I wonder if I'll ever have that kind of leverage....

Check our review of the Premium. I tried it with the 32x media and it failed. The drive requires a firmware update before it will work.

It would be useful to have LTR-52327S results for Verbatim 24x media as well, since 24x media will be much more widely available than 32x media for a while.

I no longer hope for rdgrimes's results for LTR-52327S on 24x media, because apparently he never got InCD 3.5x working, whereas results for InCD 4.0.1.0 would be quite useless (it has known performance problems). I presume you are still using InCD 3.5x.

BTW, Ahead's switch to InCD 4.x will give headaches both to reviewers and their readers, since old reviews used InCD 3.x, whereas new users can only get InCD 4.x.

Then you will be happy to hear that performance have been increased in comming web update of InCD 4* thanks to cooperation with recorder manufacturers. We have significaly decreased the number of commands sent to the device during write procedure, allowing not also faster writing by the recorder, but also better respond by the operating system (which have less IO to proceed).

*: available end of this month / beginning of the next one.
