News of CD-R/CD-RW Drives

I've seen Sanyo 16X CD-R's dirt cheap here and i'm wondering whether they are worth getting?
Would anyone know if they can be burnt at a greater speed? I have a Lite-On 48X 24X 48X.
And anyone know what manufacturer makes Sanyo CD-R's? I'm guessing CMC.

I allready have a cd burner installed and just bought the new lite-on 166S DVD drive. I just need to know which one should be the master and which one should be the slave? I plan on using the DVD drive mostly for disk to disk copying to the cd burner. What would have the best performance?

do cd writers get benefited from this kind of cable?

So, i came here to have some advice about the CD-wr I just got.
It's the Buslink CD-RW 48x12x48x USB 2

I started to burn from 8 to 48.
I used two diferent cd-r brands. both 32x
The sw that came with the drive is nero.
Ok
1. Both brands were burned ok at 8 and 16x usind data.
2. one brand showed that could only ...

I usually get FUJI CD-R because they had a plain silver top. But now, most FUJI I find in the store, have those stupid colored tops with designs on them.

I like the clear silver tops, so I can put my own white label on the cd-r and not have anything else seen through the label. I stopped buying Memorex CD's because of their stupid white label and bright blue Memorex name on it. This ...

Just wondering, i was using Clonecd (latest version) and when viewing the logs i noticed that Clonecd report that this drive doesnt support Fast error skip.....just wanted to know if this normal?Instead it used hardware correction. Can someone explain to this newbie (i am) ......the disavantages or advantages of using or not having fast error in use? :P ...
