Burn baby burn!

Burning Problem

Hi, I was wondering if any of you can help me. Alright, i'm having this burning problem. I'm using Nero Express 5.5 or whatever on a TDK 4800B 48x/24x/48x and it keeps giving me this error. I've tried different types of media and it keeps giving me this error. Below is a screenshot of the error.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Thanks in advance.

Which burner program for CD-R/RW newbie?

What software is recommended for a newbie at burning CDs on a WinXP system?

I see a lot of references to Easy CD Creator and to Nero, but I'm not clear on why one would choose one over the other. Also, Nero seems to have a wide variety of products and I'm not sure which one is most appropriate for occasion burning.

Opinions/recommendations, please? Thanks.

Question about old Mitsui Media

I found a small supply of Mitsui branded CD-Rs at a shop, but since I've never heard of this brand until browsing the forums :\ Can somone please confirm whether these discs are the 'old' Mitsui media, or MAME discs.

Image

The 10-packs carried at the store are tagged as "Mitsui Gold" instead of "Unbranded" at the bottom right corner. Otherwise, the packaging is identical.

However, the packaging does state that it is made in ...

LiteOn LTR-52327S vs Samsung SW-252B Questions ? - ANYONE ??

Hi all,

I am new to the forum & I have narrowed my purchasing choice between
the Samsung SW-252B & LiteOn LTR-52327S drives.
(LiteOn is only $5 more)

I am upgrading from an Old Yamaha SCSI

- the 32X rewrite of the LiteOn is not that important to me as I can't even
find 24X rewrite CDRW where I live - only 10X

Whats is important to me:
- Build Quality of Drive
- Data ...

verbatim 32cdrw doesn't work on LTR52327S

I just bought a Sony CRX230E drive which is a 52327S clone. I flashed the Liteon QS0B fw onto the drive.

However, my Verbatim CDRW 32x 650MB does not work

Nero 5.5 (tried 5.5.9.9 and 5.5.10.20) burns the disc fine, however when I try to access its contents through my computer, it tells me to insert a disk. CDSpeed also shows the disc to be "Blank" instead of "Data CD". The same crap happens whether ...

Labeling systems

I've read lots of forum posts advising NOT to use adhesive labels. Handwriting is not an option since I need to label music CDs with the songs on each disk (my family quickly "disconnects" CDs from cases or jackets).

Any thoughts on the Casio thermal printer? A bit steep (on sale at local Staples for $90) but maybe the technical advantages and lower cost of supplies (just thermal cartridge versus ink and labels) make sense ...

PNY CD-R's

Anyone remember the PNY CD-R's? Best Buy used to carry them, I don't know if other places used to carry them. I liked em' and kept buying more, until I got my LTR-48125W and started to burn them at 40x (rated at 16x) and I tried all sorts of speeds to no avail, I kept getting CD Speed errors, then I just started buying Fuji's.

Anyone remember using these disks, working well, or poorly? The ...

700mb / 80min "High Speed" CDRW's

My family has gone down to Chicago for a few days and I wanted them to pick up some Jensen or AOpen 700mb High Speed RW's b/c of this test I did: Roundup of High Speed CDRW's on 52x LiteON.
The retailer I got the AOpen from no longer has any, and the Jensen's were from Spazmogen on a trip to Florida.

I did do a search here and here's One of the more helpful ...
