Burn baby burn!

Need Help cant figure out what kind of CD's I have

I have tried to use CDR Identifier 1.63 like I have in the past but it wont work for some reason.

I bought some more Fuji's (Made in Japan). Trying to make sure they are still TY as I have been lucky in the past. The spindle area is opaque but I wanted to confirm that they are TY. Is there any other way to do this other than CDR identifier?

Only difference I see ...

LG 4480B and Nero 5.5

Hi everyone,

I have just been supplied with a new PC which uses the LG 4480B combo drive. Nero 5.5 reports that 'current recorder cannot erase CD-RW'. I have successfully written to a CD-R, but when trying to write to a CD-RW all seemed to go well but no data was on the disc.

The PC was supplied with Nero Express installed but I changed this for my existing copy of Nero 5.5 - was ...

Parameter Incorrect CD-R read error

(sorry if i posted this in the wrong section, new here)

Hi, recently I've been having problems with burning .iso files. I would burn the iso image onto CD but when I try to use the disc (for example, an installer) it would give me a "PARAMETER INCORRECT" error. For example, I made a backup of my retail win98 CD as an iso (and bin too) and I tried installing win98 on a computer. Halfway ...

Any word on the LG 52x24x52x16x? (4520B)

I see this drive in stores around here now but I can't seem to find any reviews for it. Is there anything really new about this drive over the 4480B (48x24x48x16x) other than very slightly quicker CD read and write times?

A friend of mine has the 4480B and I might like to get a 4520B since my cheap DVD-R media reads quite well in that drive. Also, 24x CD-RW writing would be nice to ...

This budget priced drive also has features like ExacLink buffer underrun protection as well as support for the Mt. Rainier format.

In this review we take a look at some of the features ...

Verbatim Datalife made by CMC, any good?

I just bought these Verbatim Datalife CD-Rs, $19.99 for 100 (2x50) at a local Office Depot. I have had good experience with the "old" Verbatim (mitsubishi). I was shocked that it's CMC now. I have Memorex CD-Rs (CMC), and the quality is not that good. Are these Verbatim CMC datalife as good as the old mitsubishi datalife? Anyone have any experience with them. It seems that now almost every CD-R brand is made in Taiwan. ...
