I have a quick question about bundled software with drives. I sell mostly LG DVD burners, and the software bundled with them is like a "trial" version that doesnt allow them to burn dvd's, just audio and data. Do retail boxes have full versions? What is the best way to solve this? Many people come back angry because they cant burn DVD's with their DVD burner.

Ive recently had to install a new Motherboard and reinstall XP. Since then, any DVD that i burn isnt readable in the drive afterwards. It works fine in the house DVD player, all other dvds that i wrote prior to the motherboard change play ok in the drive, all other media does also.

Ive checked nearly all settings, inc DMA controls, read speeds, ASPI drivers ...

On the tread that announces the 1.18 firmware i hear a lot of peple say the upgrade did them no good or was worse then before so ...

Does anyone have any idea why my 6 month-old MADDOG 6-in-1 NEC2500A DVD R/RW drive fails to recognize CDs. It did once, but "not no more". Now, it only recognizes DVDs.

Regarding these fancy new Pioneers, my question to people who own or closely inspected these drives - what's the front bezel made of in 'silver' versions? Is it metal? Is it just painted plastic?

i have noticed if you leave the drive tray open accidently and shut the pc off
it does not close , it stays fully out. When i start the pc up again
it still stays out until i push or use the button to close it.
All my other drives close there trays automatically when shutting down the pc
or restarting. I wonder if ...
