News of DVD Writers

I used to always use that smashing little prog, and as it doesnt seem to work on blank DVD's - is there any equivalent knocking about on the net ?

it's been weeks since you said you were working on it.
My 4040B has trouble with DVD-R media and I was hoping to get some insights from your review.

I can't burn succesfully with my Plextor PX-708A a TDK dvd+r (x1-4) with nero 6.0.0.11, 6.0.0.15 and pached 6.0.0.15, but I can burn it allways successfully with CloneDVD... Is it a nero problem?

Which Software is everyone favoring at this point... Got my 708 Today and have been pulling my hair out...

I had Nero 6000.15 already installed, and of course it did not work... I was able to Record a CD-R @ 40X With Maxell 40X Media. But With DVD's I made 5 Coasters...

Unable to Close Disk At Once, And Unable to Complete Burn. This with Verbatim 4X DVD+R, and TDK 2.4X DVD+R.

I'm planning in buy the new Plextor this week, but I cant find any good media where I live. I'm from Quebec, Canada. Is there any online shop where I can buy some -R 4x or good +R 4x to use with the plextor?

i reciently got a DVD Writer. First thing i did was burn a movie to a DVD+RW disc, and throw it into my set top DVD player. It ran fine to my amazement. Although after the first burn any burns after that dont work as well...

I'm new to backing up DVD's and the forum. I just got my writer (106D) and media (Ritek G04) this week, and have a new DVD player (C505) on the way because my Tosh 3109 is too outdated to read DVD-R's and such. I've made a couple DVD's so far, and aside from the first coaster I made, I've had success with the others playing on my computer.

I'm good to go so ...

After burning several DVD-Video disks on my Optorite DD0203 burner I noticed the following: some of these disks play very well at the beginning of the movie on standard home DVD player (Samsung C631P) and xBox, but after a while a mosaic garbage appears on the screen more and more often and finally the playback stops because the DVD player won't read the rest of the disk. The same disk plays with no such problem ...

I am trying to use Ulead DVD Workshop with my new Liteon DVD 401S recorder and it does not show up as an available drive when I go to author a DVD. I am new at this...any suggestions?
