News of Nero (Formerly Ahead Software)

I'm using a (new) TDK 4800B, firmware S7S5, and Nero 5.5.9.17 on a Win98SE system (with latest adaptec ASPI). In any of the places/screens where the option to turn buffer underrun protection on or off appears the box is checked (on) and greyed out. Shouldn't I be able to enable/disable protection with this drive (as with others)? Is this normal, a Nero issue, a drive issue? The drive is identified and seems to otherwise ...

I am trying to creat an audio CD by burning audio files(songs) from my hard drive, I follow complete instruction from Nero but after burning, when I start playing the CD only track numbers will display with no song title and artist name. Does any body know how and can explain it step by step, I will appreciate any help.

I'm having this problem for a month now, i have nero 5.5.9.17, and a Toshiba DVD rom SD-R2002 burner that comes with my hp pavilion n5470 laptop. The burner was able to burn cd fine for a year, but since a month or so ago, the burner stop working. Every time i tried burn a data/music cd it give the following problem

I'm using Nero to burn some CD's.... Norton's Anit-Virus. I had things set to burn 4 copies. I made it thru 3 and then everything locked up. I had to reboot to open my main CD-Rom. Using Memorex CD-RW's, tried to burn one at a time..... everything stops at 14% and just hangs. I then tried to make a copy of another CD.... no luck. Dell 5000e, XP, 320 RAM. Digital Research CD-RW 40x12x48...... burning ...

I am relatively new to doing much burning having previously had an HP9100. I recently bought the new 52x Buslink (Lite-On) with the original firmware. I have tried several types of media some Imation (CMC evidently), Fuji (TY) and scanned some previously burned Verbatim 4x CD-RW's. My question, is it common for scandisc and CD Quality Check to report errors where none really exist. FYI I burned some old Office Depot disks that had lots ...

does anyone know if nero can read/write in raw mode and if so how to do this.

and in general, can nero copy protected discs like clonecd and cd mate?

I've been using Nero 5.x and a LG GCE-8320B drive for several months now.

Today I had a problem finalizing a CDR, where up until now it has worked OK. (I re-tested with a different brand CDR, and had exactly the same problem.)

Nero ended OK, with the data comparing successfully, but checking the CDR in Nero's CD Speed seemed to regard the resat of the disc beyond the data as all "bad" -- errors ...

I know that you can't use two different writers on one OEM version of nero but can you use two of the exact same writers. eg. if you buy two (or three, four, five) 52x liteon burners you wouldn't have to install a seperate nero for every drive would you?? what if one of the writers had a different firmware when they were purchased?

I got a buslink 48x cdrw and a iomagic 48x cdrw drive, both came with nero oem, each nero will work only with one drive.
How to install only one version of nero and make it work with both drives.
