News of Nero (Formerly Ahead Software)

I have been using InCD 4 to store important files on CD. When it is full I burn the data to a standard CD.

When cut & pasting a file over the weekend InCD locked the whole machine & the only way to unfreeze it was to re-boot using the main on\off button.

Currently running Nero 6.6.0.3 on Win98SE.

Sometimes at random whenever i try to select files to add to my compilation (both Data and Audio cd), Nero crashes with a generic Nero Internal Error and i receive the following error message:

Does anyone know what the settings are that Nero Vision Express renders MPEG2 files to for DVDs ? I have captured files as MPEG2 (720 x 480, 6000kbps VBR, sound: 48kHz, 128kbps) in Pinnicle 9. I don't really care for the Nero video capturing yet, although it has gotten better with the last release. If UDF is the "native" format of DVD writables, why is ISO the first option in Nero for burning DVDs?

Just wondering if there are any sources of alternative templates for NeroVision - the included ones and the Extras avaliable from the Nero site are all pretty horrendous. I just want something neat and decent looking (like the TMPG DVD Author basic one)

I tried Google but no luck....any help appreciated!

I really like the simplicity of the NVE menu creator but it has one major drawback,it takes the length of the movie to "Re-Encode" the movie just to add chapters and menus.In TMPG dvd author it only takes about 15 minutes.
Why is this?

there's a problem with temp files in Nero Wave Editor (6.6.0.6). It doesn't delete files of the format pf*.tmp. They remain in the temp dir.

I don't remember seeing a detailed Nero Recode Guide explaining the expert options for Nero Digital encoding.

The guides and help files on Nero's web page are outdated and I did already search on the Internet.
