With something like 30 rebates in the last couple of months, I've resorted to scanning my rebates & UPC's as back up. Copying just adds to the paper clutter that I've got.

Hey guys, this router is awesome, it comes with 4 ports w/ switches, and a print server, all for around $30!!

The router is not some cheap piece of junk either! I used it to replace my 1.5 year old Netgear RT 314 ($120 at the time), and besides the fact that it's smaller and lighter, it's got much better firmware than my Netgear RT 314.

OK so I bit the bullet and bought a Sony DRX 500UL. I am a true tech junkie, and I just had to have this drive. Anyhow I wanted to get the 500ULX, but no one seemed to have those in stock except Sony Online. After reading through some posts here, I still had a few newbie questions:

1. So after upgrading to the 1.0g firmware then my drive should be identical to the 500ULX? ...

Brand new to the list. I recently got a new Dell with the LG GCE-8481B as the CD-RW. I have the settings in Roxios Easy CD Creator set to burn disc at ince, but I'm still getting the gaps between tracks. I've used this software for the last few years with older burners and have never had this problem. Is this burner not able to handle disc at once?

I was testing samsung sw-248f yesterday with old sealed my smart & friendly 4x cdr media. First, the lite-on smart burn told me the disc is made by CMC, then my Nero Express were burning the disc at 24x. How could this happen?

I am sure those cdr media are 4x. I got them when i was in college with my roommate in 1999 and he had a 4x smart & friendly cdr.

I have a question ... I have an lg 48x 16x 48x burner and I created with nero an audio-cd from a collection of mp3, at 48x writing speed.

At the end I got the message that buffer underrun have been prevented for 21 times. :-?

Using Direct CD 5.3.2.34 when I copy files to the CDRW on my new XP machine, the date/time stamp is set to the time of the copy. I use these disks to synchronize home and work files and this makes that almost impossible. I've seen messages on the Roxio forum suggesting that this is a DirectCD problem. I wouldn't mind switching to InCD but would like to know that the same problem doesn't just occur ...

I've just got a new CD-RW drive (the 52x LG), as well as a couple of blank CDs out of many different brands. I'd like to test how well each type works with the drive. I'm asking you what is the best way to test media quality? Help me out and I will post the results.

All I can say is: About #$!@ time! Now hurry and get us the stupid drives!

I'll still need a 15-pack to back up my system...discs better be cheap.
And whatever happened to the holographic discs mentioned on this site awhile ago?
