this is the second liteon drive that does this so i think maybe its something on the ...

last week i got a LG GCE-8320B (Slave, secondary) and burns without problems.
But...
Win2k SP3 needs approximatly 59 seconds to notice that the GCE can work in DMA-Mode :(.
if I deactivate the option "DMA, if available" (=> start with PIO) the bootup takes 59sec less than with DMA!
the DVD-Rom (another LG) on primary Slave just needs 2 seconds to check that its UDMA. ...

when I use either Nero 5.5 or NTI cd-maker 2000 plus my writer seems to stall when writing leads/outs in Nero or table of contents in cd-maker. anyone one have any insight?
