Yet Another Bug... This Time in 7.5.7.0

OK, unchecked Nero Home. Unchecked Nero Scout so it should be disabled and not running and... I might add unchecked every file association to boot.

Craig... then why is my hard drive being indexed by Nero Scout if I DISABLED it?

Your devs need to put their thinking caps on. Nero Scout is an invasive app, especially when it indexes my hard drive even though I unchecked the option that supposedly disables it.

October Snow

We had the first real snowfall of the season today. Here in Wisconsin, we normally we don't see anything like this until mid to late November. Even crazier, the local ski hill had one run open last week. wtf!?

Panasonic

I have a Panasonic DMR-EH55S with a 200 GB HDD that we purchased in June that we would like to sell.
We have gone to Satellite and DVR from cable and will no longer make use of this piece of equipment.
All original packaging and pieces/parts including the unused DVD-RAM disc supplied in the box.
This unit has worked great for us but we simply no longer need it.
The drive retails for $499.95
Will ...

Is it possible to convert protected wma files to WAV?

I just downloaded a bunch of promotional wma files and they won't play in Winamp because it asks me to get a license? How can I just convert them to WAV so I can put them on CD and play them? This is the first time I've ever had to deal with this because I don't use iTunes or buy downloadable music. If I download the license will it allow me to burn the songs ...

I want to replace my AGP 64mb Nvidia Geforce2 MX400

I have been having problems with my monitor and after checking it out on another pc, it has been said that I should consider changing my video card.
I have a shuttle Mother Board, Via KT266/a chipset
AMD athlon 1474, 512 DDR ram

I don´t play games, its more an office machine and the old card always did what I needed.

Any suggestion would be appreciated for a replacement AGP card

Thanks

Nero 7.5.7.0 Crashes Vista RC2

Well it installs OK under Vista; but it doesn't seem to have been very well tested (oh I forgot, we are all Nero's unpaid beta-testers) :)

Specifically, lots of RunDLL32 crashes & COM surrogate error boxes when I open an explorer windows full of AVI / MPEG / MP4 files (what are you betting Nero Scout is at the root of that one). Installation also seems to ...

Nerovision 4.7.0.9 Crash in amcdocbase.dll (for Craig)

Craig

Just to let you know I was getting this error with Nerovision as well.

I have just updated my Nero to the latest version 7.5.7.0 and I am STILL getting the crash involving AMCDOCBASE.DLL when I exit Nerovision after creating a DVD-Video.

Application Failure nerovision.exe 4.7.0.9 in amcdocbase.dll 4.7.0.9 atoffset 00050c13.

Thought this was supposed to be fixed.

Product Setup Page and Serial Number Page Fails in 7.5.1.1

I'm running 7.5.1.1 under Windows XP, and the product setup feature does not work. Instead, clicking on product setup feature or the Nero icon in Nero SmartStart in the left upper corner brings up Nero StartSmart again. And yes, I did a clean uninstall from the 7.2.x version (using uninstall and the Nero 7Clean Tool) before I installed the 7.5.1.1 version.

Bush signs Tribunals Law. US Now a Third World Dictatorship.

Bush signs Military Commissions Act of 2006. It was essentially rubber stamped in the Senate and the House by Republicans and a very few Democrats.

What a dark day for the US.

The American Civil Liberties Union called the new law "one of the worst civil liberties measures ever enacted in American history".

"The president can now - with the approval of Congress - indefinitely hold people without charge, take away protections against horrific abuse, ...
