a question for WinOnCD experts (Han?):

what is the correct upgrade procedure for WinOnCD 5 PE ?
i downloaded WOCSP505b.exe from roxio's site.
when i install WinOnCD 5, should i reboot and only then run the updater, or to do it before rebooting? or it doesn't matter ?
same question for the DirectCD updater WOC_DCD_Upd_5.3.2.exe ?
and the drive database uniDRV_1_15_0.exe ?

couldn't seem to find the answer on their website.

I've switched from Easy CD Creator 4.05 to Nero 5.5 for all my newer drives. I'm just wondering why anyone would still buy Easy CD Creator to burn CD-R's.

DirectCD to burn CDRW's I can understand, but why Easy CD Creator for CD-R's? Is it just as good as Nero?

Please, someone help me! :( I'm using Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4 and when I copy a CD I get a 1-2 second gap between songs. The original CD doesn't have that gap only the one that I burn.
I have checked the box that says Disc At Once, thinking that this caused the gaps, but I still am getting them.

I'm new in the forum and not an expert at all in burning softwares but I think this is exactly the right place for the following problem ...

I've recently made some upgrades for my PC (eg bigger hard disk other than keeping the previous one, some software updates, Plexwriter 48/24/48A). With the new version again in Win98, I delete PRASSI CD - which is no longer working (no more upgrades for this)- ...

after i installed the ENGFORCE patch, ECDC ran OK for a week.
the i got a live update of new virus definitions from Norton.
the next time i ran ECDC, it hung.
i'm going to reinstall ECDC and see if it will run with the Norton turned off.

I recently updated to ECDC 5.3.2.34b Platinum. I am now missing the Project Selector icon from the Win98SE system tray, as well as the option to turn this on/off within Project Selector. The only options now are (1) About (2) Register your product (3) Help. There used to be an option to display/not display the Project Selector icon in the system tray. Do any of you experts know for sure whether DCD can be installed and updated for XP Pro SP1 by running the ECDC updater - without having it install any other crappy Roxio files?

I can't read CD-R's/DVD-R's after removing ECDC/DCD. Installed Roxio UDFReader to no avail.

Installed DCD from my ECDC 5 Plat disk but it didn't support my burners (which are supported by ECDC).

I use to use easy cd creator 4 and after i was done making a cd i could later, at any time, pop the cd in my cd drive and within the label creator, go to add>cd data and the track names and times would all pop up.

at my latest call to Roxio tech supprt the guy gave me a patch called ENGFORCE
said it would fix my engine, whatever that is
in any case i haven't hung since i installed it
if anyone else is having problems getting ECDC to run this might help

I have a Samsung SW-240B and also the Samsung SM-332B on my desktop machine. I'm having problems creating multisession data cd's containing photo's (jpegs). I can only see the last session created. I use Roxio Easy CD creator and Maxell CD-R 74 XL and CD-R 80 XL-S disc. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
