I haven't seen the NEC 3500a yet... the Pioneer DVR-108 is available through www.ncix.com though (possibly still a pre-order though).

On a side note, if you order from NCIX, do it via credit card.

If you try to order via Paypal they will make you bend over and screw you raw  . I learned my lesson and still in the process of digging out of it.

hrm... when I order from NCIX.com I usually do it by walking in the front door and asking for a product  That or I call up their head CSR and ask to have something shipped to me :D

Lucky bastard

I made an order a month ago, and payed via paypal. However I learned the details about express shipping and modified my order (like 2 hours later) but already overpaid by 30.40$.

Called them to ask about it and they said that it happens and they give back the balance via paypal. Perfectly normal.

Now a month and 3 calls later, that 30.40$ that was supposed to be returned changed into 30.39$ of store credit with an expiry date attached to it! :x

I keep calling them and they keep saying they'll fix the problem, but it never happens. Finally i received an email saying they'll pay me back 30.39$.

At this point any company with some respect for their customers would apologize and solve the problem pronto. Some would even give out some form of compensation for all the troubles I've been through. Not screw you by a penny.

Oh well, they're not keeping that penny. On to the next round.

wow! that kinda sucks!

For me, I have a couple of good associates there, and usually don't run into that sort of trouble... of course being able to physically walk in and pickup the item probably goes a long way to fix that too!
