Plextor 708A Burning problems

Postby deftonie on Sun Sep 12, 2004 2:20 pm

Hello,

I am having a problem with burning a CD-R. I am using Nero 6.3.1.20. Once I start to burn the CD I recieve little or none Used Read Buffer. Its taking a good hour to burn an ISO. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Sincerely, Deft

Also, make sure you have upgraded your burner to the latest firmware available.

DMA was enabled. My firmware was updated to latest before posting. It didnt fix the problem  . Would having my local Disk F: not C: make this happen? This is the first time I have tried to burn anything after installing Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2.

What brand of CD-R are you using and it's rated speed?

Brand: Memorex Speed:40x But was using all speeds to see if it was rated wrong. I still had the problem.

If you're motherboard uses an nforce chipset, try using the default windows drivers instead of using the Nvidia IDE drivers.
