i have roxio cd/dvd burner but when i tried to burn a anime show to a dvd/R it says somthing like dvd recorder not found...

what should i do

operatin system of your computer?
what DVD recorder are you using? what firmware does it have?
what exactly are you trying to burn? how?

it says that i dont have a dvd recorder

That is a fairly old version. You could try downloading an update form Roxio, but I'm guessing you're probably going to need a newer version like 6 or 7.

What drive do you have?

the latest version of Easy CD Creator 5 basic is 5.3.5.10. you can update from Roxio's website, support section.

be sure to get the latest drive database file, to be sure your drive is recognized.
the last time i checked it was DriveUp5.3.5t.exe, but there may be a newer version already.

what is you DVD recoreder?

on second reading of Ian's response, i'm not even sure that ECDC 5 basic can burn DVDs ! ???
