Well in that case anyone wants to bet? Is it a 3 out of 3? :D

Eh eh eh... I chalange all on the forum to give their opinion until Ian posts the first results...

I'm optimistic... I think this might be the one...

Ian, it would be interesting to know the firmware on your drive... I'm betting that it might be 1.2 or if not 1.2 might be here shortly....

xx = hardware level is 2

yy = firmware version is 1.02

I would love to see plextor post 716 1.02 fw so i can try it on my TLA:0101

well looks a little better, but till someone loads 1.02 on TLA:0000 or 0101 we wont know if its 02 hardware fixed it or the 1.02 fw, more testing is really needed. Any one got the 1.02 fw exe file :D

The LG 4163B wrote a verbatim 16x dvd+r disc at 12x speed (USB2, thus no 16x) in 5min 57 sec, with PI sum 8 max = 9.

Plextor, just hide your drive :p
