Everybody Hates Raymond

General discussion. Come introduce yourself. Talk about whataver you want!

I kinda liked Everbody Loves Raymond. I've only seen it on syndication. Other than the finale, I don't think I've ever seen it on it's regular channel. Yeah, Raymond's a complete dope, but I think what appeals to me is that my family is about as dysfunctional as his, so I can relate. :)

I thought Seinfeld was funny, just as funny as a bunch of the other sitcoms these days. Wasn't the greatest show ever, but it had it's moments. The one show I couldn't get into was Curb Your Enthusiasm. People have been raving about it, I rented the first season, and didn't find anything on the first disc to make me keep watching.

Had to jump in when Ian mentioned ER. That show has turned to complete crap in the last two years or so. Used to love it, now it sucks.

I agree. With Carter leaving this week, almost all of the original cast is gone. I give it another season or two and its gone.

Does anyone else watch Arrested Development? My wife hates it, but I think its funny as hell.

"The West Wing" is my favorite, though the wife got me hooked on CSI (Vegas and Miami are better than NY, though NY isn't bad). I did watch Law & Order for a long time, but the franchise has really outlived itself (especially now that their best character, Jerry Orbach, died at 69 from cancer). I'll watch Crossing Jordan with her as well, though it's near impossible for me to visualize Jerry O'Connell as an adult, let alone an adult cop). I don't get enough cable to watch other stuff, though I wish I had History, Discovery, A&E, TCM, and OLN...decent content amid a lot of trash.

HA! =D> I never thought about it, but now that you mention it, I think that's my problem too. :) Something just didn't seem right w/ him in that role.

Sure.

Other shows we watch:
NCIS, Lost, Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, 24, Two and a half men, ER, Tru Calling.

And some of:
Law and Order (any of them) , CSI (any of them), Cold Case, The OC.

Well, you see, I pay cable but I download some of the shows, since wide screen isn't available yet (and only 3 channels of HDTV) in the case of Battlestar Gallactica HBO recently releases the episodes, nor even we've seen the pilot, maybe later when more episodes are available and I can download them at once, but in my defence I can say I watched the original series (that counts?)
