the disc I said I was going to watch played back fine all the way through. I am still sticking to the TY's at $25.11 per 100 shipped. I ordered 300 of them just got them and they are tyg02's. I expected g01s.

More Scans

Postby player1327 on Thu Aug 18, 2005 3:03 am

First ones were decent, but a lot like the other decent scans.
I tried one with SolidBurn on at 8x...not too pretty.

SOLIDBURN only helps for optimal starting strategy after that the BENQ can only correct with WOPC if that isn't asking to much from it.

those transfer rate tests look the same as some of my pressed DVDs when I run them through the DW1640. I'm wondering what the cause of it is, since it's not the PIE/PIF errors in many cases... or the jitter level. I don't think it's the beta level either, but it's more of a possability.

:o That's a LiteON 1693 whose reading these disc's not a benq.

Huge difference Lite On DVD-writers are in most cases the most tollerant readers. (More tollerant as Benq 1640 !)

This makes me think what reports the Lite On if you put speed at max.
Do the error rate still looks nice(no huge rise compared to 4x) in the end ?
