I Met TCAS for Lunch Today

Postby CowboySlim on Wed Oct 19, 2005 11:36 pm

We had a nice chat at a sandwich shop near work. We work only several miles apart.

We were in agreement on everybody that we discussed.
Wiz is a jerk.
Monte is a jerk.
JamieW is a jerk.
DRex is a jerk.
Dode is a jerk.
Spaz is a jerk.
Ian is a jerk.
etc.
etc.
.
.
.......

:P

Dang! I don't even rate enough to be a jerk. Just an "etc" or maybe, even worse, nothing but a few dots... :(

Sounds like it was nice. I'd be glad to meet CDRLabs members for lunch. If you are ever out my way, Slim, lunch is on me. Same goes for dodecahedron, MediumRare, dolphinius_rex, Spazmogen, Ian, Bhairav, TCAS, pranav81, Alejandra, Scour, dhc014, jase, UALOneKPlus, BuddhaTB and just about everyone else (please don't take offense if I forgot to list you)

 Yeah, I've "generously" extended my offer to pretty much only people who are at least thousands of miles away, and in many cases literally overseas. And I forgot to list JamieW who, I think, is probably the closest to me and maybe the one person who could actually take me up on the offer. As repentence, I will offer to buy both JamieW and his new wife lunch if they want to take up my offer.

 Can we get a picture of you wearing them and holding a sign saying they are being held hostage?

That was my sentiment exactly! :(
I guess those who are listed are just jerks, whereas those who were not listed, such as I, are forgettable jerks?? ;)

I take offense from that!

Anyways, the closest I'll be to "out your way" is in December and January, but I'm not leaving the airport (IAD) either time. According to mapquest, the airport is about an hour and 15 minutes from Baltimore.

this must be one of the funniest cdrlabs threads of all times. =D>

We could probably take a poll of 5 funniest threads here. Would be interesting to go through some of them again. I remember one where JamieW was bombarding us with posts using Ian's PC. I guess that one was number 1.

etc.

LOL, I knew someone would. Don't feel bad. I forgot VEFF too.

As for IAD, yes, it is a bit of a haul. Are you heading overseas?

Hey, I was at IAD once. Then had to get a cab to my hotel in Vienna, VA.

What a nightmare that cab ride was! It had all the scares of three amusement park rides rolled into one. :x

But if you recall, and a search will bear me out, that I did offer to meet Monte and Jenn for dinner when he said that he was going to bring her down here and go to Disneyland.

I was going to meet them at a nice steakhouse restaurant in Anaheim (I live but 15 miles away), give Monte my 50 cents off coupon for a Happy Meal and then take Jenn in and buy her dinner. Then I'd bring her back to the hotel after dinner and some dancing at a country and western bar.

But alas, Monte, the jerk that he is, never go back to me on that.

I mean, didn't he trust me to be a perfect gentleman while having dinner and entertaining Jenn? Does he think that I am some kind of a jerk, like Hox?

Yeah, I'm headed for South Africa, and I'm taking the new flight via IAD this time since it has the B744 on it, whereas JFK has the A342, and ATL the A346.

Yikes! Indeed he must have just stolen them. You better check your closet!

Yes, I know you own a pair of those. :) That is why I selected them for Mr. Prime. I figured you would appreciate his excellent taste in Cowboy footwear.

Well, Cfitz, that's good. So if anybody sees Mr. Prime in those boots, they can recognize them, grab 'em and send back to me.

In order for anybody to do the same with the pair that Ian stole, they look like the pair on the lower right.
