There's a $40 off $200 coupon (check hot deals section of the forum). Buy a pack of batteries or something to bring it over $200.

I'm taking my folding chair and sleeping bag and leaving now.
I don't have a laptop with wi-fi so I won't check back in here until tomorrow at 9AM PDT. :)

Couldn't make it. Too many homeless hanging around and the cops thought I was one of them and ran us all off about 3AM.

Then I saw on slickdeals the Best Buy $98 deal, but now that is withdrawn. Doesn't matter, though, these things will just continue to come down so it is just a question of this month, Dec or January.

Actually, the grandchildren stayed over and we rented the non-HD but Widescreen Special Edition of the movie Open Season. We played it on a Sharp Aquos 26" LCD TV, 720p HD and it really looked good. Also played it on the Sony 40" LCD TV, 1080p and it was great. With the Sony I have a Philips upscaling DVD player, but the upscaling doesn't seem to do much. I think that the Sony and Sharp HD TVs kind of upscale anyway.

Bottom line is, though, it looked so good that I wonder how much better Blu-ray or HD DVD would be? I guess that I will only be convinced with a good side-by-side comparison.
