The part about money being the root of all evil sounds like my friend wrote.

I wanted to buy into that hypothsis at first read; however, upon further reflection.............there may be some exceptions. After all, my daughter is in no way the least bit evil, but did she use my money! Now there is her daughter, just one year old and already starting into my money. Good thing that my hat has a 4" brim - plenty to hold on to!

here's another one along the same lines:

Salary Theorem

everyone knows:
Knowledge is Power
and:
Time is Money
anyone who had studied physics at the most elementary level knows that
Power = Work / Time
and since Knowledge =Power and Time = Money, we get:
Knowledge = Work / Money
from which we can get
Money = Work / Knowledge.
so:
when Knowledge goes towards zero, Money goes towards infinity, reguardless of the value attributed to Work, even if the value of Work is very small.
on the contraty, when Knowledge goes towards infinity, Money goes towards zero, even if the value of Work is high.

the evident conclusion: the less you know, the more money you difinitely make.

those of you who have had difficulty following this explanation, must be making a lot of money!

this is the fameous Salary Theorem, which establishes that engineers and scientists can never earn as much money as businessmen, salesmen politicians and actors easily make.

Better than the previous, dode.

However, in the USA, the money/stupidity quotient is an order of magnitude worse than the examples that you cite: we have professional basketball and football players.

Thanks for the enlightenment; that was just what I needed. First thing in the morning I’m going to drop out of college and then break with my fiancé. Guess I’ll do better without my engineering carrier and save my money without my girlfriend. :D :D :D

Well now, with all these dancing bananas, if it didn’t say "Beer Garden" I would have thought this was a fruit and Veggie shop :P

one I've heard
"Nothing is better than eternal happiness...a ham sandwich is better than nothing, therefore, a ham sandwich is better than eternal happiness"

Or the Monty Python witch part of Holy Grail....
''so if she weighs the same as a duck....she's made out of wood?"
"and therefore"
"uhhh....A witch?"

Hey CowboySlim do you find my bananas offending? I was considering taking them out of my sig thinking that maybe some didn't find this funny or offending. I ask you due to your sig.

PS: Sorry if this a little off topic.

More Hardware Stores needed

Postby pcbugfixer on Sat Aug 02, 2003 2:42 am

And here I thought that when you needed a screw, you got that at the Hardware Store :oops:

And for the other thing, use a bucket of water that normally gets them apart. :evil:
